Principal Forensic Meteorologist

Mark L. Kramer (M.S. and B.S. in meteorology from New York University, School of Engineering and Science) has over 30 years of experience as a consulting forensic meteorologist. Mr. Kramer has personally consulted in thousands of weather and climate evaluations. He often works with experts in other disciplines and was formerly with Meteorological Evaluation Services Co., Inc.

His clients consist of law firms, insurance companies, large and small businesses, industries, and municipalities that return for the excellence in service, professionalism, and his ability to provide expert opinions, answer their questions, and provide data to support his findings and conclusions.

Mr. Kramer has always been qualified as an expert meteorologist and has provided testimony in both plaintiff and defendant cases in Federal, State, County, and Municipal courts.

He taught meteorology and honors and climatology as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Pace University campus in Pleasantville, New York (2008 - 2016). He authored peer-reviewed technical articles on atmospheric sciences. Mark L. Kramer is an active emeritus member of the American Meteorological Society (Present) since joining in 1977 and is the Chairperson of the New York City/Long Island Chapter of the American Meteorological Society (1985 - Present). He has held several offices in professional organizations, such as Chair of the Atmospheric Sciences Section of the New York Academy of Sciences and President of the Hudson Valley Council of Technical Societies.

In addition, he volunteers in educational outreach competitions at MathCounts and the Tri-County Science & Technology Fair. He is the New York State and Connecticut Science Olympiad meteorology event writer. Mr. Kramer also assisted in writing and running the Meteorology event at the National Science Olympiad in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and was unfortunately canceled in 2020.
